Role: Finance Admin
Location: London, Ontario, Canada
The finance team at SeQent is looking for a part time assistant. This role would be 2-3 days per week initially.
The most important criteria for joining our finance team in this role are:
Independent work ethic
Written and verbal skills
Firm grasp of basic accounting principles
Experience in international shipping
If you have at least 5 years of experience with accounting data entry and report preparation, you will stand out in the crowd.
The Finance Admin role is responsible for all finance data entry, report preparation, balancing and expense report validation.
Additional responsibilities include:
Managing and ordering a small inventory of electronics.
Fulfilling orders for customers related to the managed inventory.
Managing international shipments of products to customers.
Assistance in preparation of trade show materials throughout the year.
Some technical skills that would be particularly useful:
Knowledge of at least one accounting software application
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
Knowledge of the international shipping and customs process
This role initially starts as 2-3 days per week role but may evolve into a full time position as workload increases in the department.

Development
Department: Development
Role: Software Architect
Location: London, Ontario, Canada
The development team at SeQent builds the foundation for SeQent, and we are building again. Our developers pride themselves in creating applications, which are world class and mission critical.
The most important criteria for joining our support team are:
Independent work ethic
Problem solving and logical thinking.
Written and verbal communication skills.
Firm grasp of networking, databases, web, and the Windows Studio Development environment.
Strong understanding of C and C++, (VB.NET and VB6 are a bonus)
Strong issue tracking and management skills
If you have experience with manufacturing engineering, with all other required skills you will be in the lead. We are also very interested in individuals who have a track record of finding creative solutions to unique problems, and who will thrive in mission critical situations.
The Software Architect role is responsible for producing and maintaining SeQent's growing suite of manufacturing applications. Software Architects deliver well tested applications to our testing group with minimal recycles.
Additional responsibilities include:
Taking ownership of technical issues, and working with our Support group to resolve more advanced
issues when necessary
Documenting troubleshooting and problem resolution steps
Assisting our support group in diagnosing more advanced issues
Some technical skills that would be particularly useful:
Knowledge of all server and workstation Windows platforms.
Extensive knowledge of DNS, TCP/IP and other networking APIs.
Experience with web application development, HTML, and SQL databases is a plus

Customer Support
Department: Customer Support
Role: Support Engineer
Location: London, Ontario, Canada (International travel as required)

The Support Engineer role is responsible for providing high-quality technical support for SeQent's suite of applications globally. This person will also work on other software and documentation projects as required. For entry-level applicants we are willing to train the right candidate. Support Engineers deliver effective technical customer support to our rapidly growing customer base, delivering solutions to both IT and engineer users. Support Engineers may be required to be on-call on a rotating basis throughout the year.
Additional responsibilities include:
Taking ownership of technical issues, and working with our Development group to resolve more advanced
issues when necessary
Resolving escalated customer complaints without the need for team lead intervention
Documenting troubleshooting and problem resolution steps
Participation in providing training to customers as required
Some technical skills that would be particularly useful:
Knowledge of all server and workstation Windows platforms.
Knowledge of DNS, TCP/IP and other networking concepts
Experience with web servers, HTML, and SQL databases is a plus
This role initially starts working 9AM-5PM for 2 months of training and then changes to the sunset role working from 10PM to 6AM EST, Sunday - Thursday to support our English speaking Asia Pacific customers.
