Archived News Releases - 2004CGI Selects FirstPAGE for Monitoring its Mission Critical Servers - October 2004 NETCON announced that CGI, one of the worlds largest IT services firms, has
selected FirstPAGE
Server as a corporate standard messaging platform for monitoring its
application servers. By utilizing FirstPAGE Server on the
Microsoft Windows 2003 platform, and a Perl interface to FirstPAGE
Server, CGI is able to monitor its application servers 24 hours a
day using custom written scripts.
In addition to server management, CGI utilizes FirstPAGE to
communicate timely business data to some of its key clientele. FirstPAGE is used as a conduit to route key information to these
clients, extracting data from customer applications.
Implementation of these products was completed in 2004 with the installation of the architecture in two key Canadian data centres. Further rollouts are expected to occur in 2005.
