London, ON – June 2, 2009 – SeQent (https://www.seQent.com), the leading provider of innovative real-time condition monitoring, dispatch, and visualization solutions, announces that WS Packaging Group, Inc. has purchased a corporate license of FirstPAGE Server, FirstPAGE Alarm Manager Server, and FirstPAGE Alarm Manager Gateway for ODBC products. In addition, they are in the process of installing seventeen (17) In-House Paging systems for their seventeen (17) plants.
“SeQent has been selected as a strategic partner in support of the deployment of our Radius Solutions PECAS Vision ERP system,” said Bill Challoner, Vice President Business and Market Development, WS Packaging Group. “The SeQent paging system and the PECAS Vision shop floor data collection system are part of our strategic ERP initiative. The addition of SeQent’s paging system allows us to provide a better communication tool between our production floor and supporting departments, further enhancing our corporate LEAN programs.”
According to Scott Burns, founder, and CTO of SeQent, “When we started working with WS Packaging Group on this project, it was the first time that we had partnered with a company in the printing and packaging industry. Not surprising to us, the challenges with which they were confronted were identical to those that many of our existing customers deal with on a daily basis. Because we have a scalable decision support platform, we were able to design and build a solution that met 100% of their requirements… out of the box. We are grateful for the opportunity to work with WS Packaging Group and look forward to helping them raise the bar of their world-class manufacturing operations.”
